Civic Welfare Training Service 1 & 2 Course
I led the redesign of the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) 1 and 2 courses, transforming them from a traditional online format into a flipped learning modality to enhance engagement and real-world application. In CWTS 1, I shifted foundational topics—such as citizenship, laws, and disaster preparedness—into self-paced learning, allowing in-class sessions to focus on reflection and proposal development. For CWTS 2, I designed a scaffolded, project-based experience where students applied their learning through community needs assessment, planning, and implementation of service initiatives.
I ensured strong alignment between outcomes, activities, and assessments, resulting in a more structured and learner-centered experience. The redesign enabled students to focus on practical, community-based solutions, particularly in addressing environmental issues, while strengthening leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
The courses received positive feedback from both administration and students, with faculty consistently highlighting the clarity and effectiveness of the materials. I also organized and facilitated major field activities, including a tree planting initiative and a coastal clean-up, which were well received for their impact and execution.
